"I am not the sort of person who engages in the weakness of self-pity," Zechs answered, coldly. Yet despite his words, he relaxed slightly - something which showed in his face. He believed Hakuba. Though he didn't understand why he'd stay, even if it was out of respect rather than pity. For now, however, he'd except the explanation.

"As you choose to stay, consider my things as yours, Detective. I realize there is little food here, as we -" Zechs faltered a moment, "- I tended to buy food as needed, or ... ate elsewhere."

The food at their home in Switzerland would probably end up spoiling. Zechs didn't care much.

"You may use my account to buy what you need. I will not require much food personally, so buy things to your preference."

He bowed to Hakuba again. "Once I have prepared for work, I will see you in eleven hours, Detective."
