Kaito was perched lightly on the arm of the couch Hakuba was sitting on, juggling three colorful balls like his sudden appearance was the most normal thing in the world. He hadn't planned on coming at all, really, but apparently Hakuba had something to say. Against his better judgment, the magician decided to hear him out.
Besides, he could always poof away if things went wrong and Hakuba tried to slap a pair of handcuffs on him. Or something
Kaito hadn't even bothered to ring the doorbell. Instead, he had used his Kid-like abilities and entered the house himself, before employing all of his stealth to sneak up on Hakuba and watch the detective read for a few minutes, before finally announcing his presence. Kaito stopped juggling the balls and grinned mischieviously at the blond. "Whatcha reading?"
