Pfffffffft! Of course not!

During the entirety of Hakuba's rant, Kaito had been shuffling a deck of cards in several rather creative ways. He ignored Hakuba's comment about Aoko being his 'love interest' (because it was quite true, to say the least). He snickered to himself and shrugged when Hakuba brought up the previous Kid-conversation (and he inwardly shuddered at the idea of Hakuba doing anything like that to him). But he couldn't keep silent any longer at Hakuba's obviously naive assumption that magic didn't exist.

"Is there no such thing as magic?" Kaito asked, "You should get out more if you honestly believe that. Magic is very, very real. My magic isn't. Kid's magic isn't. But there are certain types of magic that are. And as for Pandora..." the magician flipped a card from his deck and tossed it in the air, and with a snap of his fingers it exploded and turned into one of the colored balls from earlier. He caught the ball and fiddled with it, before shoving it in his pocket. "I know what Pandora's Box is. I know what implications the name has." And I know how dangerous that jewel really is, he added mentally.

He wasn't quite expecting Hakuba to throw the book at him, so Kaito was forced to let out a surprised yelp as he just barely caught it. He stared at the book for a second, before shrugging. "Of course. Hypothetically. I'll hypothetically see if I can get this to Kid, although it'll probably just sit on my shelf and collect dust for the next few years."
