[RL with Maxwell Smart-chess games]

Hakuba was sitting in his room all by himself, the sun was shining trough the large windows right at his open book. He looked at his clock, it was nearly the time.

He didn't had a good opponent since he left London, and his father was always working, so when Maxwell told him about how good he was at chess Hakuba couldn't resist it.

Let's see what the secret ~~Agent 86 of CONTROL~~ Greeting Card Salemens man could do.

"No. We don't." Puffing a bit more. Max got all wide eyed surpised at the 'check' as he thought of his next move.
"Now, watch as I execute a move from which you will be unable to escape after this the game will be over." Moving a piece.

And Hakuba looked. He kept looking even when Max was done with the movement, because he couldn't really believe that the other man just moved the king in front of his bishop. He raised an eyebrow in confusion and moved his piece.

"Uhm..check mate?"

(no rush <3 I'm always late too. AND lolXD)

Max's eyes where as big as plates, followed by a pause.

"Actually, now that I think about it. That wasn't the move I had in mine. But I lost fair and square."

Hakuba looked at him apologetically.

"I distracted you with the talk. But don't worry, that's just the first one." He moved the the pieces to their correct order. "So, how are the things going with Miss 99?"

Maxwell, patted his cigarette to get the ashes off it in the tray and then started to move the pieces back as well. "Quite alright. We don't talk as often as I'd like.
Oh, she's doing fine. Sometimes I wonder how'd she handled the case if I wasn't around."

Even in reality it was '99' who helped Max, he just didn't noticed that.

"I used to be alone."Hakuba replied, playing with a chess piece (the knight) on his hands. "..For a long time. Then when I come to Japan I meet Akako. I will not change that for anything." he left the piece on the table. "Why don't you talk more to 99? She's not interesting or she's already taken?"

(ooc. hi. I feel really bad about not ending the RL, because I really like Maxwell interactions, and I'm sorry I forgot about it. :/ I'm always telling you the same, sorry about that too. BTW I tried to make the icon of jack with ears, unlike the others icons I made for Kaito and Hakuba, jack is a real person and it was hard to do it because I couldn't just stuck manga ears on him and the real ones looked..a bit odd. "Oh, it' not that." Max crossed his legs reaching for bishop.
"I just find my job more important. Well, we do talk on occasion." Taking another puff.

"At least one of two us are happy in that aspect... Tell me.. How did you know Akako was 'the one'?"

"Ehm..." Hakuba blushed. The idea of telling Max that he knew it while he was kissing another person, if Tyki was really considered a person, sounded horribly wrong on his head. "..it wasn't easy. I didn't know that she liked me at all, in fact I was thinking that she loved other person. I had doubts but..uhm..someone help me to realize that I only loved her." He ended, blushing even more.

(ooc: thanks! and you made me do the 'wuut? face O_o popular? me? nah. Besides, you're more popular than me because your characters rocks :D I will be on hiatus from tomorrow since the 16, sorry babe :3 I'm going to celebrate a b-day of a friend on another country XD)

"Oh..." Was Maxwell only reponse, as he watched Hakuba blush, moved backwards into his chair and puffed in thought, as wandering as he thought.
Then added, "And it doesn't interfer with your work?"

He smiled up at him. “Ah, well. Yes, she can be quite a distracting factor.” His expression fell a little before looking down at the chessboard and sighing. "For a long time all that I had was that, my job, my cases, my duty...And it was enough."Hakuba looked at him straight in the eye and, with earnest seriousness, said, "I knew that something was missing but I didn't allow myself to think about it."

Hakuba looked down again and moved his pawn. "but then I come here and all went out of hand, I will not change it for anything thought." He smiled again. "It's not just her, it's the way I feel when I'm with her." The blonde teenager laughed softly. "I feel stupid sometimes, and I never liked that sensation, but i discovered that I don't mind anymore."

I feel stupid sometimes; Max's face twisted in a rather stupid shocked experssion. Well, he had that feeling around people all the time and he wasn't in love with any of them.
"One guess use to it. Take it from me." Smart pointed his finger that was brushing off the smoke; at Hakuba, as he crossed his legs in thought. Yes, take it from him.
Then in turn, moved his bishop.

Hakuba raised an eyebrow, surprised by the dry tone of Maxwell.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh. Just that I know that feeling."
As the secret agent made a rather dumb move on the chess board, and putting his cig out that was almost gone. Leaning to the side in his chair, pulled out his silver case to grab another one when his shoe rang...

"Well you know what people say, Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." Hakuba joked, trying to relax the atmosphere.

he was a bit surprised when he heard the rang. He was totally taken aback when he noticed that it was Max's shoe who made the sound.

Max chuckled, that was rather witty none the less and froze when his shoe began to ring and saw Hakuba was staring at his foot.

"I'll get that."

Bending over, the agent, slide his shoe off, and popped off the bottom of the loafer and revealed a hidden comparment, flipped open the mouth piece.

"Hello?"

Operator: "Sorry, but your party is out of this dimension."

"Well, then reverse the charges."

Operator: "One moment please..."

"Max!" An much older and angry male voice could be heard so much on the other line that Smart himself was dazed, pulled himself away from the shoephone a moment and blinked.

Hakuba raised an eyebrow when the shoe mechanism was revealed. How..original. As the screaming voice has heard, he winced a bit. that was nearly as loud as Nakamori-keibu.

Max nodded, and 'ah ha' now and then. "Sorry sir."
Finally, saying, "See you later Chief." And pushed the reciever back in.
"That was the Chief." Max stated facing Hakuba.

Hakuba nodded, understanding.

"The life of a Greeting Card Salesmen is always, busy, isn't it? it's been interesting to play with you, Max."

Max nodded, "That it has. But I must go now." The agent learned forward close to Hakabu again.
"We we should again." Whispering, then leaned back and his voice returning to normal, lighting his match with striking the bottom of his shoe.
"KAOS, are up to their old tricks." As he took a puff.

"One day I will need to ask you some things about KAOS, Max." Hakuba replied as he stood up to show him the way. "When you're not that busy, of course."

"Oh, I'm not busy now. The Chief just wanted to know I was Ok, and where I was. And not to forget about our chess game tomorrow night." Max leaned in and turned his head around his arms resting on the arm rests. "What is it, you'd like to know..."

"You play with him too?" The boy sat again, happy that the other man didn't had to go yet. "As much as you can tell me, how they operate, where, how big is the organization, how they looks like."

"Yes." Max crossed his legs, posing with the cig in between his fingers. Not disclosing where or when.

Then turning his head around, leaned forward, "Do you have a Cone of Silence?"
It was after all, top secret, hush, hush.

Hakuba leaned forward too, amused that Maxwell was always so secretive. "No, but I heard about that technology before." Hakuba moved a hand vague. "But this is not your world and my house it's a safe , place, I'm sure that we can talk here."

If that wasn't true, Kid and him would already be dead or in prison.

Max kept his body leaned in, if they couldn't have the Cone of Silence, he'd speak softly. His eyes also quickly checked the small area around them that may contain a 'bug'.

"KAOS, is an international organization of evil... Founded... Oh... 1947...
The lower agents, dress just like you and me. But the ones at the top of KAOS, wear black leather coats.

And they are determind to rid the world of all that is good and righteous, though the Iron Curtain and Black Market.
They also specialize in advance technology, such as things like my shoe phone here and loaded violins...
Their scientists are also quite quarks when it comes to new drugs."

Max leaned back for a moment, so he could spill the ashes into the tray and take another puff.
