If being turned into a half-cat, half-human thanks to a messed up spell was bad, being a dog thanks to a goddess was a million times worse. He did't even know why Eris did it. She just said that it was Kuroba's fault, but Hakuba was not going to trust her anytime soon.

Hakuba had no idea where he was now. Rufus dragged him to a place that wasn't his apartment- the damn president managed to put a dog collar on him- and he couldn't find a way to get out.

[After a quick trip to Gaia to find out that Ruffles had gone to visit his mother-in-law, Kaito is being sneaky in Emiko's front yard (read: hiding behind a bush) baseball cap pulled over his eyes and Hattori with him. He looks perturbed, like he can't actually believe he's going out of his way to rescue Hakuba.]
