Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name? Saguru Hakuba Vinyard
2. Where and when were you born? Japan, August 29th
3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)

Kenji Hakuba: Superintendent General of the Metropolitan Police of Japan.
Personality: Cheerful, friendly, understanding and more Inteligent and perceptive that he looks at first sight.
Likes: Animals, books, criminology and sweets.

Catherine Vinyard: Professional Musician, violinist.
Personality: The oposite of his husband, cold, snarky, vicious and astute.
Likes: ..........anything?

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Blood related? No. But:

Not!sister: Alizé
Not!brother: Rufus

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Ekoda, Japan with his Dad, his housekeeper Baaya, Alizé, Watson (his Hawk), Irene (his father’s porvora) and Clarisse (his tease).

6. What is your occupation? Detective/student.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.

Half british, half japanese, sandy blonde hair, tall, 143 pounds. About the eye color, it’s blue on the manga and brown/red on the anime cause the producers are apparently morons, so I established that Hakuba’s eyes are blue, but sometimes they change colors into a brown-reddish tone. Thanks to long legs and long nights chasing Kid over rooftops, Saguru is an incredible sprinter.

Style of dress, ii's often suits, the school uniform or his inverness cape, the one similar to the Sherlock Holme’s one. No tattoos and no scars. When he was 15, Hakuba nearly lost his left eye when one of the strings of his violin snapped. The scar is gone now, there’s just a tinny litle shadow of what it was on his forehead, but his hair covers it.

8. To which social class do you belong? Upper class/high society ~~Yes, another one, I wonder if it’s a blonde thing.~~
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Not at the moment, just a bit of insomnia due to stress.
10. Are you right- or left-handed? Right-handed.
11. What does your voice sound like? Usually calm, self secure, and smug. Kaito also describe it on canon as ‘sugary’. And of course, he has a British accent.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? He usually says that some subjects are just ‘a matter of time’.
13. What do you have in your pockets? Depends, but always the keys of his car, his walley, his cellphone and his pocket watch.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? He plays violin, is really good at billiards, likes dangerous pets like his hawk, the tease and the povora (Porvoras are cute, but they also explode). He’s good at technology and he’s a hacker.

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general? He spent his childhood between Japan and England, but he grow up mostly with his mother in London, not exactly traumatic but not exactly wonderful either. He doesn’t like to talk about it.
16. What is your earliest memory? His grandfather giving him his first pocket watch when he was five.
17. How much schooling have you had? He’s still studying and he will go to the university this year.
18. Did you enjoy school? School? Yes. Classmates? No. He loves knowledge and always seeks for information, but also found his classmates boring because they weren’t as smart as him, and when one of them was intelligent enough they usually ended in a competition. That explains a lot of his problems with the other detectives on the comm, like Heiji and specially Conan. Not with Perry, because he’s as snarky as him.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? From his father mostly, but he always had natural talent for mysteries.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. His father again, and Sherlock Holmes.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? Better with his Dad than with his mother, even if he spent more of his life with her.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A detective or a police.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? Reading, investigating and playing violin.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? He was always too serious for a child, and he liked be around adults more than other children.
25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? See number 18.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss? At six, with one of the few semi-friends he had. The kid fell and started crying, Hakuba tried to comfort him and in the end he kissed him to make the kid calm down.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? No. With a woman, Akako. With a man...Zechs and Tyki >_>

Hakuba’s sense of justice is mostly his father’s fault; Hakuba thinks that justice must be observed at all times. It is one of the principles of natural law that justice should be done to every man, but he doesn’t think that life is always black or White. Hakuba’s behavior, though, is anything like his dad, he share more personality traits with his mother, even if he doesn’t like it. Hakuba has her tendency to try to do everything on his own and he don’t like to ask for help. He doesn’t think that asking for helps is a weakness as long as he’s not the one asking for it. He’s gentle and compassionate like his dad, though, something that his mother never understood.

Part 3: Past Influences

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? Coming to Japan to catch the kid, and all the troubles that came with that.
30. Who has had the most influence on you? His parents.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Doyle, for now.
32. What is your greatest regret? ~~Never really catch the Kid~~ ~~Slepping with Zechs and Tyki~~ Hakuba blew up the Shinra building during the Halloween virus because he thought that he was V from Vendetta 8D.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? See number 32.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? No.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened? That Kid's heist that went bad and ended with him dragging and unconscious Kaito kid around Ekoda to Akako’s house, when Tyki posted the video of himself possessed by his Noah, and recently when Alizé used the Trigger song to kill the akumas (he thought that she was going to kill herself).
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? The valentine virus.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? And again, blowing up the Shinra building.
38. What is your best memory? His first kiss with Akako.
39. What is your worst memory? Being kidnapped.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? He’s a realist, end of the story.
41. What is your greatest fear? Getting someone of his family or friends killed because of what he’s doing.
42. What are your religious views? He doesn’t like the idea of someone controlling his life. Hakuba believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution, because it gives him proof, but at the same time, and more since he joined the community, Hakuba can't reject the idea of the existence of gods. So, he’s an atheist, not in the affirmation of the nonexistence of gods, but on the explicit position of the rejection of theism.
43. What are your political views? Pffff too long :|
44. What are your views on sex? He enjoys sex more when it's with someone that he loves, but if he wasn't with anyone he would not mind of casual sex at all. Hakuba is bisexual, brains turn him on, not just bodies. That’s why he doesn’t give a damn about genders.
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? Yes. If someone he cares about is in danger.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Rape. At some point, he can understand killing, but not raping.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? Yes, even if he found that hard to admit.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life? Lot of things, it depends of the person.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? He tries to hide his feelings and weakness, and it’s his mother’s fault too, she told him that he needed to be able to take care of himself, but he also gets extremely stressed because of it.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? He’s a bit of a masochist when it comes to relationships. Hakuba likes difficult people, more you push him away, more interested in you he will be. But at the same time, he knows when it’s a good time to push people, and when he needs to let them chill out.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? He refuses to dance in public. Because. And he would never hit a woman, no matter the provocation, because real gentlemen never do that.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? Mr Hero complex? For a lot of things, but the important question is ‘who he will kill for?’, and that are : His family (that include Alizé and Rufus), and the people he cares about (Akako, Kaito, Aoko and Ginzo, Heiji, Tyki and Zechs).

Part 5: Relationships With Others

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? He’s polite in general ~~unless you’re Heiji~~ and mildly formal, but quite easily to approach. If he knows you enough he will start calling you for your first name or stop adding the ‘san’ and ‘sama’ treatment at the end of the name. If he really trust you, he will allow you to call him by his first name.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Akako, because he loves her, and Alizé because he always wanted a sister like her.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? His father?
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.

Alizé: They connected quickly and they share a lot of characteristics, especially when it comes to relationships and showing weakness. She’s older than him, but he treats her like she’s his young sis.
Kaito: It’s complicated, they have that rival/friends relationship going on. Hakuba still wants to catch the kid, but at the same time he wonders about what will happen if that success, so now he’s centered on defeat the true bastards (The black organization). And he likes the banter and fights.
Heiji: They started the wrong way. They yell at each other and basically hate each other but then they talked more and it changed...Heiji you bastard, how you managed to do that to him?
Issei: he’s close to his age and also likes reading. Hakuba likes the fact that he can talk to him with no fight, no double takes and no verbal sparring if he didn’t’ have to.
Rufus: Remember that Hakuba likes difficult people? And the snarky conversations are love.
Tyki: I don’t really know where to start with him. Hakuba always found him interesting, and wanted to know more about him and why he was how he was. Tyki also make him question things about himself that he never really liked to think but needs to. Eventually, slightly attraction got in the middle of the interest too, but Hakuba loves Akako and respects Zechs, so the idea ended as soon as it come to his mind. He values their friendship and now that Tyki changes sides he wants to be there for him. The valentine’s virus made his relationship more awkward, but the reason he feel so guilty about it it’s because it feel good too. ~~Even if Hakuba feels like he's just another notch on his bedpost and that make him sad.~~
Zechs: They have a lot of things in common, ~~and not just the fact that they’re blonde and slept with Tyki~~. Hakuba really likes spending time with him, even if Zechs it’s a difficult person to talk with, especially if he’s feeling vulnerable or showing emotions. It’s a bit like the pot calling the kettle black, because the detective does the same, just in a lower level. He wish that Zechs would learn someday that showing emotions is not the same as showing weakness, but he understand that Zechs had a complicate life so he’s not going to push him on that subject (Same with Rufus, duh). Hakuba is possessive about his friends, and takes responsibility for all of them, that’s why he practically moved with Zechs after Tyki made the post about him possessed by his Noah. He cares for him a lot, but he don’t pity Zechs, Hakuba hates people pitying him so he don’t do that to others (he never did that with Alizé and she’s on a wheelchair).

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. Akako Koizumi. Smart, beautiful, a witch, crazy. He loves her to no end ♥
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. Yes, Akako, and in some way he will always feel affection towards Tyki and Zechs.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover? He has some high standards when it comes to relationships. I would never have a relationship with someone I see as an intellectual inferior.
60. How close are you to your family? Depends of the member of the family.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? He asked Alizé to move with him and his family when she lost the use of her legs, he also wants to have kids. But Akako don’t like them :(
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Hakuba is a practical man, it depends of the situation. If he needs help with Aoko he will ask Kaito, if he needs help with Rufus he will ask Lady or Dark...if He needs help for himself, he will not ask for help unless he’s really, really desperate... then he will ask Zechs, Tyki, Kaito or Rufus. Again, depends on if he want the person who caused the problem dead or not.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? Yes, see above.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? AKako, Watson , Aoko for sure because it’s Aoko, Alizé, Zechs and Tyki and..some others I guess. ^^’
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? Vermouth. He killed Kaito’s father and kidnapped him and Aoko. It doesn’t help that Hakuba knows that she’s related to him in some way >:/
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? Argue.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? Hell, yes.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?....no, always ends the wrong way.
69. Do you care what others think of you? Depends on the ‘other’.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? Investigate, billiards, chess, fencing, playing violin, hacking things and mess with technology.
71. What is your most treasured possession? The clock Akako gave him and Watson.
72. What is your favorite color? Red or brown.
73. What is your favorite food? Toffee apples.
74. What, if anything, do you like to read? Everything.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? spending time with his girlfriend or friends, annoying Kuroba or attending one of the kid’s heist.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? Hakuba just drink when he’s feeling particularly down. So either no drink at all or he gets drunk.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? With good company~
78. What makes you laugh? Hakuba doesn’t laugh. He smiles a lot, but he usually don’t laugh. Gotta need to find someone who change that.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? People being rude, especially towards women, close minded people and being called a ‘kid’.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? He has insomnia, and when that happens he ~~hacks~~ works.
81. How do you deal with stress? He doesn’t 8/
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? Hakuba likes to have like 3 or 4 plans.
83. What are your pet peeves? Thieves and kidnappers?

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? Woke up…then who knows. He ‘s Kaito classmate, it’s always disrupted.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person? His confidence and his intelligence. And good hacking skills.
86. What is your greatest weakness? HIS PRIDE.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? He needs to control himself more.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Depends on what are you asking him about. If it’s something trivial like a procedure, or something he will give you along explanation. Ask him about his family and Hakuba will go al >| on you.

Thefts, technology and annoying Kaito Kuroba.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. Spend most of it with Akako, be sure that all the information and affairs concerning the Org will be in order, say good bye. And probably tell Rufus that he blew up the building, but then that will not left him much time to be alive.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? Uhm..:Doyle? Blowing up the damn Shinra building?
98. What three words best describe your personality? Smug, snarky and sharp.
