It just seems that as long as she keeps promisin' a cure, he'll do everythin' he can t' protect her. Which, even despite th' circumstances, is a lot. It just...I dunno. I feel she could be doin' more, but she's not because once it's over, she has to start again. Her life somewhere. I dunno. It sounds stupid out loud.

I don't really know Haibara, but waiting for someone who's a kid like her to protect her life sounds like a really dangerous thing to do. And before you start yelling again I will explain.

If someone is after her, the most wise thing to do it's to disappear and investigate about the cure in a place as far away from japan as she could. Kudo had his reasons for not leaving Ran's side, but you said that Haibara only had her sister and know she's gone. I think that she's risking her life as well being near him, even if she thinks that he's protecting her in some way.
