[RL with Krad]

Not much people know about the flat, not even his family or Akako. Hakuba buought it one day he felt that he needed some place to hide, someplace to go that people didn't know; the laboratory was not enough. It wasn't small but not very impressive either, it had a kitchen, a bathroom, a bed that he never used..it will do the trick.

The book that filled the shelves make it look like he was really living there, even if it was not the truth. Krad didn't know where he lives and he rather keep it that way. Hakuba looked at his watch, it was nearly time]

"Uhm..there's something I want to ask you..about Dark." Hakuba looked down at his teacup and found it empty. He leave it on the table. "If he is a phantom thief, and you are like his opposite, what you had to do? chase him when he stole something?"

"Being a Phantom Thief was not his original purpose," Krad explained. "That was something he inherited from his own masters. I do chase him, one to stop his stealing as the art works belong to the Hikari as well as more personal reasons."

Hakuba looked surprised at that. He never really knew Darks purpose. He imagined that it was stealing things, make Rufus's life worth to living and mocking Kaito.

"Should I ask what are those personal reasons or it will be to impolite? it's mere curiosity, nothing more. If you don't want to talk about it I will not pry, I just want to know you better. you are a very interesting person to talk with, Krad."

"There are two. One is our bond. The second is he can become...threatening if I am not careful," Krad commented. Of course only Dark knew how and the other was not likely to reveal how unless he was in one of those heroic stints of his at the wrong time.

"He threatens you out of the blue?" The boy questioned, a frown on his features. he always thought that it was more the other way around, but after all, Krad could be lying. True or not, threatening each other will never end good.

"There is no need for threats. It's simply a truth we both know," Krad said, staring out at the sky. "And he is the one more likely to take the action to damn us both," he said, voice going soft. "He truly, truly hates me."

Hakuba studied Krad's profile calmly. "If it makes you feel better, not everybody hates you." He avoided Krad's eyes after that statement.

Krad looked honestly surprised, staring at Hakuba in almost shock. It took a few moments before he composed his expression. "I am aware. Though...not may will say it aloud," he said, the surprise still on his eyes though it wasn't so clear on his face anymore.

He hadn't heard anyone say anything like they liked him in a rather long time. He assumed his masters cared, but...he never truly heard it.

He had to admit that his owns words surprised him, mostly because he found them to be true. He do liked Krad, at least in a way. Talking with him was like walking into a minefield, but that what made him so interesting. he thought abotu Tyki again.

Hakuba always had a thing for sociopaths and not so respectable people after all.

"I'm not like many people." He said in the end.

"I did think as such before, but it seems you are more different than Satoshi-sama than I first thought as well," Krad commented, looking thoughtful. Satoshi-sama rejected him. That he knew, but even then, he never willingly admitted things. It was rare even in his own thoughts.

"In a good way, I hope." He said with a half smile, he really didn't know what to think anymore.

Krad was silent for several long moments before a small, almost wistful smile appeared on his face. "I like it."

A few seconds before, Hakuba returned the smiled. It didn't went as bad after all.
