"Or him, either." [Mild irritation now.] It's because I want to do it. I want to stay here."

"I know you don't. You never did."

"Alright then." [He pauses for a few moments, when he speaks again his voice is neutral as he can.] "Bye, mother."

I doubt that anybody except my Dad knows how to deal with her. I never aksed you..how is your mother? What does she do?
