[Hakuba is sitting in front of a chess set setup in Ekoda's the park, Waiting for max to make his arrival. It's been some time since they saw each other in person, and even if the man was horrible at chess, he was funny and easy to talk with. It make him think about his grandfather.]

Hakuba stood up smiling and shocked his hand.

"It's been a long time Max.... I hope that you don't mind of the change of scenery. I wanted to be outside for a bit."

"Yes, it has. Since your birthday if I recall correctly."
Then as his own hand slide away from Hakuba, "Of course not. I rather enjoy the outdoors. I also see you're all healed up and good as new?"
Patting Hakuba on his shoulder in a friendly manner.

"That was in August." The boy nods. "I'm mcuh better now, the pain is gone and the scars are already fading away." He motioned to the seat.

"Yes, I know. Time sure does fly fast." Maxwell gave a small smile; "Well, a few battle scars never hurt anyone. We both know what we're up against."

Walking over and took the gestured seat; "So, what else has happened since then?"

As Smart unwrapped the package he had. If there was one thing, he enjoyed about their chess games together it was chatting about events. At least outside, Mr. Smart didn't tend to normally stumble over things as much.

"That scars were more accidental than anything. Virus can be really bad." He looks away,a voiding his eyes and sitting."Not mcuh more except.." He smiles again." Do you meet a boy called Naoto Shirogane? he's in the comm to."

Maxwell watched the people passing by out of the corner of his eye as he unwrapped the brown paper bag he had with him. Call it an old habit for a spy to be ever so watchful, Max's eyes became puppy dog sad as Hakuba avoided eye contant, at least until Hakuba looked back and smiled; "Actually, I have. What about him?"

Before pausing placing the book on the chess table; "Mind if I smoke?"

"We are working togeth....of course, go ahead, you know I don't mind." Hakuba never smoke, but was used to other polices doing it, he never complained about it. "Naoto-kun and I are working in some cases together, he's really smart."

"Thank you." As he reached inside his jacket for a pack and some matches, pulling a cigarette out, stuck one in his mouth before putting the pack away, all very gracefully.

"It's always polite to ask." Bending over to strike the match on the bottom of his loafers and lite the cigarette from down there, swishing away the match on the cement, to burn out.

"Oh?" Taking a long puff before exhaling and replying, "Well, it was a simple matter of deduction he was smarter then the the average bear. Which cases?" Before taking another inhale.

Opening, his How to Play Chess in 6 Easy Lessons as he did.

Hakuba noticed with surprise how max moved, it was a really smooth movement for a man like him.

"The kid case and a murder case form his world..what's is that book?"

"Ah, interesting." With his cigarette hand, finally moved a white pawn, forward one space. "Do you mind sharing any details?"

There was a share for a moment, "Oh, this? It's a book. How to Play Chess in 6 Easy Lessons. It's written by an eight year old chess champion in my world and so easy to read even a child can."

"Of course. Kid caught the interest of Naoto and he designed some weapons to try to catch him." Hakuba start moving his King's pawn 2 spaces,playing 'e4'. This move immediately worked on controlling the center, and it frees the Queen and a Bishop.

"I..interesting book." He says, a shadow of a smirk in his lips.

"Yes, it is an interesting book." Maxwell kept his attention between the book and Hakuba. "What's so interesting about this Kid? I mean outside of his thieving he does."

Smart was rather into his book, a chapter that was entitled, How to Wear Down Your Opponent.

"Oh, did I tell you about my last case?"

"It's hard to explain if you never saw one of his heist. He call himself a magician and when you saw him performing...it's like everything it's possible." Hakuba shock his head. "No what was it about?"

"Well, prehaps one day. I'll have to tag along." Moving one of the knights on the board, as he took a look at his, How to Play Chess in 6 Easy Lessons.

"It was about - " Max cut himself off as some random person walked past and leaned in closer to Hakuba; "About Agent 53's killer."

Pushing himself back into place, as he took another puff of smoke.
