It's already 12th in Spain :D

I don't understand why people complain so much about the fog. Sure, it's not usual here in Ekoda, but..it reminds me of London.

ILU XD

Taste functions, really? ..I cant' say I ever meet anybody with tentacles, sir.

((it's alright XD♥;))

Can't imagine you would have. They're not exactly a common feature. Although, if you do run into one, take my advice. Don't let a good opportunity pass you by, it's an experience you're not going to want to miss.

Suppose the cat's out of the bag. Captain Jack Harkness, it's a pleasure to meet you.

No, surprisingly enouhg My ex girlfriend was a witch, you can't imagine the creatures she used to summon but any demon had tentacles thankfully You're not talking about a a handshake , right? Tentacle shake, uhm..

Likewise Mr. Harkness, I'm Saguru Hakuba.

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-20 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, not talking about a handshake. Unless it's a handshake that you're doing in bed. Bit of a tentacle grope in the bunk, if you catch my drift. Not to say that humanoid species are bad at this thing. Quite the opposite.

Please, Jack is fine. Or Captain if you want to keep some formality for formality's sake. "Mr. Harkness" just makes me sound old.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
H..how many tentacles are we talking about?

I will...go with Jack....
51stcentury: (big smile)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-21 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. Depends on the species, really. There are some who have them instead of arms, and there are some who have quite a lot more. There's a bit of variation between what sort of tentacles we're talking about here as well.

S'fine with me, Hakuba.

((Jack is rather enjoying this conversation. :P))

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Let me guess, the tentacles used as arms aren't the same as the ones that are used to taste things? How embarrassing if I was shaking someone's tongue by accident instead of his 'hand'. And I said 'tongue' because there are kids in this place.

((I ca tell. Gotta love his shark smile XD))

[grins even wider]

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-21 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well, kinda. The arm ones do more of the tasting, and the others do...more of the 'tasting'. Could you imagine, being able to go around and stick your 'tongue' at anyone you wanted to, and even have them meet your advances with their own? Talk about freedom. Times like these, in the 21st Century, stuff like that would get you arrested. Ah, well. It's their loss, y'know?

[Oh, Jack XD]

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It takes an amount of imagination but..oh god. it would be also really tiring. I bet that people would fall sleep while walking. it ca be a loss, but freedom is something more than taste people, you know. Fun as it can be.

You'd be surprised how much endurance you can build up if you put your mind to it. But you're right. I'm just...straining at the boundaries of what it really means to be living in the 21st Century. You guys are so close in some areas, and so completely far away in the others, it's enough to drive a poor 51st Century guy crazy. Then again, there's all that repression going on--it's kinda hot, really.

Ohhh...*blushes* ·///·

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Breaking the rule sis fun, isn't that what you're telling me?

The 51st Century..that's surprising. How is Earth, if you don't mind me asking?
51stcentury: (Default)

:P

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-22 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, more like the rules haven't changed enough to fit my standards, yet. They will, though. I know that for sure.

The Earth? Well, pretty different, really, but people have spread out all over space trying to recreate what we have now, so. I didn't grow up on Earth, though, and I've only been once or twice, so everything I know I've learned elsewhere.

((Sorry the userpic doesn't fit. I'm replying from my mobile, and signing in and out is far too difficult to do atm. >>;))

Gives a few decades of centuries and we will understand. I hope so, at least.

But you are human, right? How did you traveled around? with the TARDIS like the Doctor did?

((it's ok, do not worry~ :D))
51stcentury: (smile)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-23 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that's the way it goes. At least in the universe that I live in.

Yup, I'm a human of the future. We've got a few different other species bred into the mix, but we still refer to ourselves as humans. As for traveling, I traveled with the Doctor in the TARDIS for a while. Had my own Vortex Manipulator for a while, working with the Time Agency, though, so I could travel on my own before meeting him. He deactivated it, though. Didn't want me messing up timelines and such.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-23 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a really interesting future.

Mixing isn't a bad thing. I didn't knew that you where friends. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that Vortex Manipulator thing. What is it?
51stcentury: (bw smile)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-23 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Mixing is certainly not a bad thing, considering some of the changes humans get to have. Like pheromones--what I would have done without them, I really don't know.

Oh, yeah. The Doctor and I go way back. As for the Vortex Manipulator, it's kind of like a TARDIS, I guess. If the TARDIS is a large luxury space cruiser, then the Vortex Manipulator is kind of like, well, a space scooter or something like that. But it did the job, at any rate.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-23 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Sometimes it would be more easy if we could control those. Pheromones get us in trouble too often.

I know a bit about the TARDIS, he mentioned that it's female. That was really odd. Sounds a cool devise to have.
51stcentury: (cheezy fake smile)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-01-23 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
They always do seem to get me into trouble, you're right. But it's usually exactly the type of trouble that I'm looking for, if you get me.

Yep, the TARDIS is female. She's wonderful, she is--she even sings to you, sometimes, if she's in the right mood. My Vortex Manipulator pales in comparison. Especially because it's useless at the moment, being deactivated all. I still have the Agency wriststrap, which is kind of like a glorified remote control, but otherwise, zip. The Doctor stole what little thunder I had and made me a linear time kind of guy.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I do, I do, it's hard not to get you Jack. Trouble can be fun sometimes, isn't it?

It..she can sing? That's wonderful, I never imagined that something lie this existed. That's why you are here' because you don't have the Vortex Manipulator?

I try to make it a habit to be easy to understand. It makes it easier for me to get what I want.

Pretty much. Although, if it was fixed now, I don't think I'd leave. I would have when I first got here, but now. There are things to keep me here, people that I don't want to let go of anytime soon.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Smart move, Jack.

I traveled from London to Japan a year ago and I can't go back because of the same reason. It's not the same as time traveling but the feeling is.
