Well, so far I've got nothing on. I mean, Jack's not really the romantic planning type, and Sulu's working, so. We've still got work for Torchwood to do, anyway.

[Hakuba waits for Ianto to show up leaning against one of the white columns, watching people pass near.]

[Ianto took the invisible lift up, when he spotted Hakuba on the Plass, and walked up to the boy] Hey.

Ey back. [he smiled.] I'm still surprised that no one notice the lift. You all show up from thin air.

[Ianto shrugs] Perception filter. They don't know about it, so they don't really pay much attention to that spot or really anyone around there. It's actually pretty useful, really.

I can tell. People should be more observant. Where we can go?

Oh, well. If you want to go out, I know a good coffee shop just down the way. If you're just looking for somewhere not so public to talk, though, there's always the tourist office. No one in there but me, usually.

I have no preference, really, up two you. You don't get bored of the tourist office?

[Ianto shakes his head] No, it's kind of just my little space. No one comes up there unless it's to talk to me, so. Why don't we go there? I can make you a cup of coffee. It won't be as good as the stuff from downstairs, but it'll still be pretty decent.

ALl right. Sounds perfect.

[Ianto leads him to the tourist office, opening the door and going behind the counter, motioning for Hakuba to take a seat as he starts some coffee brewing] So. You said that you had something for me, then? [He tries to keep the conversation going even though he's busy with the coffee]

[he sits and wait, lsitening to Ianto.] It's nothing too special, I wasn't sure what to give you.

[Hakuba looks for a small packed in his jacket and then he handles it to Ianto.] Happy birthday. [The box is black and silver silver lace, inside, there's a silver watch for him.]

[Ianto opens his present and is surprised by how nice it is] Wow. This... You really got this for me?

[He takes it out of the box, and puts it on. As it so happens, he'd forgotten his own watch at home that day, in a rush to get out the door. He smiles at the watch, then at Hakuba] It's gorgeous. Thank you so much. You know, though. You're the second person to give me a watch today. Jack gave me one earlier. Although... Well, that one isn't really for keeping time.

Is that so? Sorry, we are really unoriginal. [He gives Ianto a sheepish smile.] I should have checked.

[Ianto chuckles] No, it's fine! I love it. Thank you. [He moves to put it on his wrist]

Anyway, the watch that Jack gave me, it's not actually a watch. It's a portkey, something Dumbledore made to make it easier for me to visit... [He blushed, his voice dropping lower out of embarrassment] For me to visit Sulu, and for him to visit me, that is.

So it's a worldhop. [Oh....OH.]So, you and him are official?

We, uh... [Ianto blushes] I... I guess we are? I mean, we. We haven't been on a date yet, but. We've got one set up, and well. Barring no emergencies, we're going on it, so. I really guess we are...

Congrats then. [He glances at the coffee machine.] And you and Jack...?

Jack and I... [Ianto blushes] We're... We're still... Y'know. Jack and me.

[Give him a moment while he accept that you jsut confirmed what Jack already told him.] Oh...all right.

Is... Is that weird? I mean. Jack and I have always had an open relationship, and with Sulu... Things just sort of happened of their own accord. I mean, I wasn't even looking for someone else, it's just... [He ran a hand through his hair] It just sort of happened, gradually over time...

No, Ianto it's fine. If you all are happy that way who I am to say anything about it?

Well, yes, but. It's good to know that my friends aren't against this or anything, you know? [He smiled, bashfully] You know that I wouldn't just fling myself into something like this without really thinking about it, though, and knowing that it's something that I wanted.

I understand. [After what he did thanks to the virus of the comm he's not the one to judge people.]

I do, I'm sure you thought about it long enough. So, how's Sulu like? Does he make you happy?

He's... [Ianto smiled] He's a good man. A pilot of one of the most impressive spaceships that I've ever seen. Optimistic, laid-back, kind... And yes. [Ianto blushed] He does. Make me happy. I mean, we haven't been on a date yet, exactly, but. We have one planned, and well. I've known him for a while now. Long enough to know that...that it's worth whatever criticism I might get about dating him and...having Jack around as well.

[Hakuba chuckles.] Peopwel will always talk but their opinion is not important. I will watch out for his posts the next time and see if I can talk to him.

Please do. It... It would mean a lot to me that you approve of him after having talked to him, you know? I mean, as a friend of mine, and all. [Ianto smiles bashfully at Hakuba, blushing]

I don't have to approve of your boyfriend for you to be happy, Ianto, but I'm glad you value my opinion.

No, you don't. But I'd appreciate it if you did, anyway. [Ianto smiles]

I do, don't worry. [He points to the cofee machine.] I think it's ready.

Huh? [He looks where Hakuba's pointing, and jumps] Oh, right! Sorry! I... I forgot. I got...distracted by everything, as it were.

It's ok, dont' worry. [Hakuba smirks.]Good to know everyone is glad with this.

[Ianto goes over to the coffee and gets each of them a mug of it, bringing both of them back over to where Hakuba is standing] Yeah, I... I'm glad that there haven't really been any problems with any of it yet at all.

[He takes it with a grateful nod.]You need to keep being positive. Sulu is form the future as well, right? Living in a space ship and all.

Yeah, he is. Not as far as Jack, though. I think he's only from the 23rd century, after all. Don't ask me which year, exactly, though. I honestly can't remember, and I'm not sure whether he's ever told me, to be honest.

I don't think anybody is from as far as Jack.

No, I don't think so either. Well, maybe the Doctor, but. I don't actually know when the Doctor is from, considering all the traveling in time that he does.

You are right. He isn't human, right?

No, he isn't. He's Time Lord. He's grown rather fond of humans over the years, though, from what Jack's told me. I mean, he's certainly done enough for us to prove that.
