He told him that he was going to arrive before of the kendo's match didn't him? A day before was maybe too much, but the way Heiji teased him on their last conversation was too much to resist. He parked his car near to Hattori's house and walked the rest of the way, holding a bag with his computer and a small blue box with a bow on it.

Hakuba stopped in front of the other detective's house and took out his phone, waiting patiently until Heiji took it.

"You didn't left the window open, Heiji-kun."

If he was expecting something, a totally lack of reaction from Heiji's part was not one of his option. that kind of things where the ones who annoyed him, and to the fact that he was kissing people for the sake of let them know about kisses.

He coughed, impatient and feeling a bit stupid now.

Heiji licked his lips again and let out a shaky breath, focusing on Hakuba's eyes. "I...uh..." He started, then broke off, still not sure what to say. 'can we do that again' seemed enticing but wildly inappropriate.

He flushed red then at the thought. He did have to admit though, Hakuba could kiss.

Hakuba crossed his arms, he was not even that good at kissing to let someone speechless, really. Heiji reaction was awkward, but a bit flattering too.

"So...?" He tried again.

Heiji moved so he wasn't on Hakuba anymore, sitting next to him instead. He cleared his throat and remembered that he was supposed to be unaffected and/or better than that.

Which wasn't possible at the moment, but he wouldn't be himself if he didn't at least try.

Besides, he had a feeling Hakuba knew how it affected him. It did take him longer than he would have liked to recover.

"B-better." He said, still blushing.

Strange enough, Hakuba noticed that Heiji was half over him when he moved away. he imagined that he was too used to Akako doing that too to care anymore.

"Just better?" He mocked, but the tone was empty of disdain, it was more playful than anything. He loved to have the upper hand.

"Very educational." Heiji covered, smirking slightly. Definitely better than the first one.

Hakuba smiled.

"I can be an awesome teacher, and you really need more classes." He looked at his tie and fixed it, when his clothes got so crumbled? "But I'm not just here to introduce you on the joy of kissing, Heiji."

"are you two done, then?" An amused laugh spoke, Hakuba looked over his shoulder and saw the computer they left on the bed. Was Doyle recording all this? Damn himself for design the A.-i- with that trait.

The AI's voice knocked off Heiji's carefully held together composure. His face flamed red and he covered it with his hands, mortified.

And damn himself for enjoyin' it too.

The British detective frowned at the screen, but it was useless. Doyle's personality was in the origin a reflex of himself, he should know that he never get rid off the sarcasm.

He will need to confirm if Doyle used the webcam to make a video when he had a moment.

"Keep an eye on Kudo's house, Doyle. Good night." Hakuba close the computer, but a frustrated 'awww' was heard before that. "Kids these days, right, Hattori?"

Heiji shook his head, laughing helplessly at the situation. He ran both hands through his hair and leaned back onto his elbows, eyes closed, grinning broadly.

This was ridiculous.

That reaction wont him a raised eyebrow form Hakuba. He thought abotu the whole situation and find it quite funny int he end, so he laughed too.

"You know, when I come to your house I wasn't expecting all that, I just wanted to see you, not to give my A.I a free show.

Heiji opened his eyes. "Question is, did he tape it and if so, what are we gonna have t' bribe 'im with t' keep him from posting it everywhere on th' net?" He didn't seem real afraid of the possibility though.

"He will not, I control him" Most of the time, he added mentally. "But Doyle is pestering me about building a robot body for him, even If don't have the technology...Rufus gave me a robot toy as a Christmas present because of that, but I didn't added the hardware to it. I guess that Doyle have another way to convince me to do it now. "

Heiji decided to disagree with him on the control thing, Doyle seemed to do whatever he wanted for the most part anyway, but it wasn't something he needed to argue about.

"So I can prolly assume that we're havin a bit of our 'talk' here? Instead of after the match tomorrow." He said quietly. He should probably thank Doyle somehow later. He no longer felt so awkward.

Hakuba pulled out his clock from his pocket and made a thoughtful sound. "Maybe its getting to late for that, I wanted to show you more about Doyle, but maybe we can do that tomorrow after the match." he left the clock on his pocket again. "Besides, I need to find an hotel before it's too late."

Heiji shook his head. "Why waste money on a hotel? Ya can stay in the guest room here. I can make up an excuse as to why they haven't seen ya come in."

That was the first time on their whole meeting, or maybe even since they meet, that Heiji caught him off guard.

"M..money is not a problem. And you didn't wanted me here on the first place, now you're inviting me?"

"I ain't gonna make ya wander about Osaka on yer own looking for a decent hotel. Besides, this way I can just bring ya with t' th' school instead of tryin' to find ya later."

Heiji might not have liked Hakuba very much, but at the very base of that dislike was the very fact that their personalities clashed. He didn't like Kudo very much at first either.

except that Heiji considered himself a better detective than Hakuba and yet he knew he wasn't as good as Kudo yet. But that was besides the point.

especially since right now the other teen was here as an ally. The only think Heiji could lose by being nice is a bit of pride, really.

"Fine then, uhm..thanks." He was feeling awkward now, he wasn't expecting that, especially since he and Heiji weren't exactly best friends. "As long as you don't try to grope me on my sleep."

He added, trying to change back to the old routine.

Heiji's face fell and he glared. "I wouldn't grope ya if I were drunk an' desperate." He shot back, careful not to insult him too much. Hakuba seemed to have a tendency to take what he said as a dare.

"You wouldn't kiss me either?" The blonde detective snapped back.

"Maybe if I had somethin' to' gain out've it." He countered, if only to keep himself from blushing.

Hakuba wondered how they always ended talking about that subject, guess that it was his fault.

"Maybe if you win the match I will show you another lesson, so when the times comes and you confess to Kudo it will not be a total disaster."

Heiji almost decided to just toss Hakuba out on his ass and make him pay for a hotel room after all. How many times was he going to tell him this? "I'm not crushin' on Kudo!" He yelped, stubborn.

Hakuba expression get serious and he moved closer to Heiji, Interested.

"SO? Who's the lucky one now?"
