Hakuba was sitting on the comfy couch of Akako's house, looking at the ceiling. Not only because it was one of the few things on the room that didn't have snake patters on it- which it was a relief- but also because he felt really tired and frustrated, and glaring at the ceiling was better than glaring at his girlfriend. After all, Akako was not the cause of his frustrations, but the cure, and the witch was better at giving death glares than him.

Hakuba was glad for the change of subject. He was caressing her back. "I need to catch on on all that I miss this week I been..out." The blond boy smirked and raised and eyebrow at her, faking an annoyed voice.

"Nice? As nice as our english teacher?"

Akako took another sip of her tea as she continued to brush her hand through Hakuba's hair gently. "You didn't miss, dear," she said nonchalantly, "I did not take notes, of course. But I'm sure I could convince one of the other boys in class to give you theirs."

She swatted her boyfriend playfully on the head. "And no, our new Biology teacher is not nearly as nice as Cross."

"Don't worry I will manage." He could always ask Aoko, she took the most accurate notes and he went along with her better than the other boys.

"They still looking at me warily because I'm with the most beautiful girl of the school. They're probably wondering why are you with me or if I have your father tied up on my house or something..."

Hakuba grinned more at the soft kick. "Well, cross was all sorts of special, wasn't he?"

"If you're sure," Akako responded as she sipped her tea. She grinned at Hakuba and watched him for a few moments, studying the features of his face and wondering exactly how she had managed to get so lucky, before she spoke again.

"Cross was special. And quite kind," she said nonchalantly, "But he was just my teacher."

Hakuba just nodded, looking away again, but he was still smiling softly. It didn't reached his eyes. "Did you ever thought what you want to do on the future?"

Akako took note of the smile, and her own faded ever so slightly. She didn't like seeing Hakuba like this, but what else could she do other than be here and listen to him?

"I haven't," the witch said honestly, "Perhaps I'll open up a fortune telling business. Or even a potions shop."

The detective's smile was genuine but a little uncertain now.He placed the glasses on the table and moved his arms around her lite waist. "A potions shops sounds really interesting, I don't think that there's any like that on Ekoda, or are you planing on moving to another place?"

Akako frowned. "I'm not sure," she answered honestly as she continued to run her hand through Hakuba's hair, "Do you plan on moving to another place?"

"No, definitely not now...I have really good reason to stay."His breathing quickened in her ear, and his heartbeat thumped pleasantly against her chest. Hakuba slid his lips under her chin to his neck and to the base of his ear as his hands languidly strolled up and down her back and sides, stroking the curves and valleys of her body. "I will probably study criminology here as well but...there's already too mush detectives on Japan."

Akako let out an involuntary purr as Hakuba tended to her neck, her eyes falling shut and her head tilting slightly to allow him complete access. Her arms wrap around his shoulders, and she smiles. "I wish to go wherever you go, Saguru," she said.

He smiled sleepily holding onto her chin and guiding her to him.He brushed her lips with his own and grinned for a split second before sliding his hand behind her neck and into her hair as his mouth captured hers firm and fierce with need.

"I don't care were we go, as long I am with you" He sighed against his mouth but found herself fighting his lips for dominance.

Akako would have responded in kind, but Hakuba was too busy kissing her for her to form the words. So instead, she smiled into him and kissed him back just as fervently as he was kissing her, arms still wrapped around his shoulders.

Akako wasn't a very emotional person. She didn't like to show she cared about people, and she didn't like showing her softer side.

But when it came to Hakuba, she was willing to do anything.

He watched her expression as he leaned back on the couch and looked at her, his gaze stroking her like a feather as it meandered from her currently brown green eyes, to the girlish curl of her lips and over her well cared for physique. She was perfect. He really couldn't understand why she was with him. Hakuba looked away, worried about if his thought would be noticeable on his face.

Akako knew that expression. She had seen in plenty of times before, and it still baffled her as to why Hakuba didn't think ht was good enough for her. With an exasperated sigh, the witch lightly tapped Hakuba's cheek in a chiding manner. "Oh, Saguru, don't entertain those thoughts again," she said as she picked up the empty tea glasses, "I've told you time and time again how ridiculous they are."

"I don't know what you mean, my love." He lied, knowing that he was caught.

With a roll of her eyes, Akako leaned in to kiss her boyfriend assuredly. It was a slow yet confident kiss, almost as if she was trying to convince him that he had no reason to be worried.

Which he didn't, but it didn't hurt to show him.

Hakuba grinned at the kiss, she knew him so well. He sighed when they broke apart, and wrap his arms around her shoulders, needing to feel her against him. The detective talked in a low controlled voice. "You never feel like you wasn't enough?" He was not just thinking about them as a pair, but also about the case.

Akako rubbed Hakuba's back gently as she buried her face into his shoulder. "I do not like talking about my insecurities, Saguru," she said softly, indicating that the answer to his question was a 'yes' but she certainly didn't feel comfortable saying it. Akako wasn't a woman who liked to show her weaknesses, after all.

"And do you think that's the best?" He knew what she meant with that, and he been doing the same all his life. His mother never allowed him to act weak or allowed him to have doubts, but this last weeks he felt like he couldn't handle it anymore.

Akako was well aware it wasn't the best, but her grandmother had raised her in almost the same way Hakuba's mother had raised him, so there wasn't anything she could do about it. So instead, she said nothing as she continued to hold him.

He closed his eyes and swallowed the bitter taste in his mouth. Hakuba didn't ask about it further, but he could understand her meaning. The frustration made his stomach turn in sorrow, but he could at least draw a bit of comfort from the fact that Akako could understand.

Akako withdrew from the hug and smiled down at Hakuba. "You should not worry about it so much, Saguru," she said chidingly. "I believe you mentioned we take a vacation sometime soon?" She liked that idea. Getting away from everything was something they both needed.

His face brighten at the mention of the vacations. "Some more time together and alone would be wonderful." He made an emphasis on the 'alone' part, there didn't had much of that kind of time recently.

Akako's smile widened. "I would like that, Saguru," she said honestly. They hadn't had much time alone, and she savored the idea of spending time with him without being distracted by life.

"Good! And now that we have some time alone too.." He stood up suddenly, with her on his arms and moved to the bedroom.

Akako grinned and wrapped her arms around Hakuba's waist. She leaned forward and placed a seductive kiss on his neck. "We should take advantage of it," she said with a purr.

"Oh yes." Hakuba purred back, closing the door of the bedroom with hos heel. It was a good day after all.
