[Back dated a week because I just got the mod's approval :| also VOICE POST]

[ooc: Hakuba is still on the hospital, his parents are driving him crazy. The three of them can reply to the people who comment here, have fun with Saguru's meanie mommy.]

[There's a soft click and low voices fighting in the background. One of them is feminine and even if she seems calm, there is a dangerous tone in her voice that reflects how pissed she is. The other voice is from a man, less aggressive and far away more cheerful than the woman's but he sounds tense as well.

Something along the lines of 'he's not dying, why did I have to come here, I have work to do in London' is heard before a heavy sigh comes from another voice, Hakuba's, once and the mic cuts off.]

Then why bother coming all this way to see your son? If you really could careless, then why take time out of your busy schedule to see him?

[His voice has lowered, and has grown quite cold.] My father is proud of my work. I am upholding the reputation my forefathers earned before me as a Shirogane detective. I do what I was born to do, and that's all my father ever asked of me.

My reasons are just my own, darling.

So..you are just a bad copy of him?

Of course they are. Not that your reasons are worth much...

I'm neither a copy, nor a bad one, at that. I am my father's son, and I do what I can to live up to the Shirogane name. I don't just ride on my father's reputation... I go out and earn my own, though hard work and dedication to solving even the most challenging cases.

Worth enough for me and them. It's a family matter, you see.

And what challenging cases did you solved since now, kiddo?

I suppose family has to look out for one another...

Plenty. The majority of them deal with homicides. The one I'm currently working on right now involves a serial killer. I don't shy away from that sort of thing. Dangerous criminals should be kept behind bars where they can't hurt anyone.

Detectives shouldn't 'suppose' things.

And I should believe you because....?

I really don't care whether you believe me or not. And I think I've wasted enough breathe speaking to you. Consider this conversation over.
