Yeah, I know...there's nothin' for it though [stands up licking his lips and shrugging out of his shirt and jacket completely using his clothes to clean himself off] I'll go throw this in the laundry real quick...s'down the hall...

[But first he drains his glass and then tips the empty glass in Tseng's direction] Great party, huh Tseng?

[He resists the urge to facepalm and picks up his own glass, draining half of it instead]

I have no complaints.

[Turns his back and leaves exposing the nicely healing wound as he makes his way to the laundry room only to return several minutes later all cleaned up and donning a fuzzy bath robe]

That didn't take too long, miss me?

[Looks back over at the screen] So, what's the score...did I miss anything?

[Tseng is absorbed in work again by the time Reno comes back, the only sign of their activities a bit of sweat sticking wisps of his dark hair to his forehead]

It's been amazingly quiet, actually.

[He's watching Zack talk to Kasumi, and Rufus holed up in a bedroom alone, then flicks the monitors to other locations, looking for trouble]

[He glances up and gestures to Reno to join him, leaving it open whether he wants to sit on his lap again or take the chair next to him.]

[The chair or Tseng's lap, it's really no contest and he picks Tseng's lap.]

[Drops his head back to rest against Tseng's shoulder and looks up at the other Turk's face.] All in all not a bad birthday. I gave Rufus some over-the-hill gag stuff he'll probably throw away. I had to gimp my way outta the room really fast...you didn't see that did ya?

[He drapes his arms around Reno comfortably]

I may have missed it. [There's a smirk on his face, though. Then he sobers] I haven't given Rufus his present yet.

Ah that's good, it wasn't my proudest moment...but the look on Rufus's face was priceless [gives Tseng's neck a nudge with his nose] Might be a good idea to wait.

[He nods, turning his head to press a soft kiss to Reno's cheek. This is so...strangely companionable and nice] I think I'll give it to him after the party.

[He's not really thinking about it, but something in the back of his mind is aware of the warmth of the current situation and in a way that's not entirely sexual]

[Props his feet up on the table and slumps a bit looking satisfactorily sleepy] Heh, he might not be as trigger happy then.

[Chuckles softly, content to keep Reno from slipping off his lap if the other man wants to sleep. He can see the monitors from here, after all]

Hopefully he'll be in a better mood, yes.

Probably better than the mood my presents left him in hah [closes his eyes and rests his hands on Tseng's thighs] I hope so anyway...he threatened to give me a paper cut.

[Soft chuckle] Possibly an injury worse than the one you already have.

[Nuzzle, his eyes slipping closed for a moment before he returns his attention to the monitors and goes on in a more businesslike tone] Do you need to go back to the hospital after this?

If it's Rufus he'd dissect me...that would hurt like hell too [chuckles too]

Hmm...hn? [His own eyes shudder open at Tseng's question]Yeah, I guess, the hover nurse is probably turnin' the place upside down by now. 'm just so damn tired of doin' nothin' but laying on my stomach all day while she inspects a little cut on my back...feel like a bug under a microscope yanno?

[Tseng chuckles softly, then leans back casually, not looking at Reno] Yeah, I'm sure you're right. Well, another time, then.

[Looks up curiously] Eh? Another time?

[A casual shrug. Maybe too casual] I wondered if you wanted to stay with me tonight.

[Still looking up and he's a little surprised, just a little] Yeah. I wanna stay the night.

[He smiles, but it's cautious] But will you be allowed, or is the devil nurse going to haul you back?

I dunno...maybe...[yawns]...or maybe not if I'm with you. I wanna though...like when we pushed the beds together at the Gold Saucer

[Tseng nods, pleased and trying not to examine too closely why.] Then you'll stay with me tonight, and the nurse can wait. My bed is big enough for us both, anyway.

[He noticed the yawn, though] How are you holding up?

Yeah...the gorilla can bitch at me later...one night away from the hospital bed ain't gonna kill me.

Little tired. You're a kinda hard-bodied...but comfortable enough to pass out on Tseng. [Grins] Of course, I'd be a lot more comfortable spoonin' you in your bed.

[Tseng glances at the cameras again] The party is breaking up... We can probably head home if you're tired.

Hn...yeah if you're ready [sits up and scans the cameras as well] We taking Rufus back too? Or is he going with Dark?

I'm sure he's able to make his own way back. [Tseng is wry] And he's probably going to be going with Mousy.

[Pulls himself up onto his feet even though he is comfortable where he is] Well...guess that settles it...I'm pretty tired.
