[Locked to Kaito/Kid, Naoto, Conan, Aoko, Issei...to Haibara's friends in short.]

Haibara's b-day it's today and I organized a small private party for her at home. Nothing too fancy because she doesn't enjoy those kind of parties, but I'm sure that she would like to you see all.

That's why I have to make the most of my time with Senpai, before he leaves Inaba in the spring. I know that I'll never forget the time we spent together this year.

Conan-kun, maybe, but not Kudo-san, wouldn't you agree?

But he still has the brain of a teenage boy.

But it's strange to see a young boy like him around dead people, people always find it strange.

Well, yes, it is a bit odd, I have to admit. Could be bad karma, maybe? Or maybe detectives in your world are all "death magnets".

And you have the worst luck ever.

Perhaps.

But people around me don't have the tendency to die.

Even so, you do tend to end up getting hurt a lot. Just how many times have you almost died during your career as a detective?

Better me being hurt than others. During my career as a 'detective' only once.

I can understand the sentiment, but try not to take it to the point where you become so badly hurt that you won't be able to recover. You have to protect yourself in order to protect others, right?

Only once? When was that?

I won't, I have a survival instinct too.

During one of kid heist, you don't remember? You stopped that bullet.

[It's twice in fact, Kaito Kid did that first, but that was complicated and he doesn't talk about that day.]

Sometimes, I wonder...

Of course. How could I forget something like that? But I was the one who was hurt, not you. I find it hard to believe that of all the times you've been injured, it never once happened while you were working on a case.

I do, it's tiny, but I do.

Well but that was...well ah, I keep my professional life apart from my personal life?

Good.

Haha! If only it were that easy! Even I've suffered bruises and minor abrasions while chasing down criminals. I thought only "armchair detectives" never got hurt during a case.

Remember that I 'm specialized in thefts, those aren't as dangerous as other kinds of cases.

Well, yes, but you also hang around Kudo-san, and we all know he's a Death Magnet. He tends to get hurt more easily now that he's a child.
