Ey, this is Hakuba. Where are you two?

The weevil that was left in autopsy yesterday is just bones now. No flesh, no organs..I don't know how it happened it was a normal corpse 15 minutes ago. As normal as a dead alien's corpse can be anyway.

I think that something come through the Rift, the computers gone crazy and Myfanwy is in hysterics. Remember me who had the great idea of keep a Pteranodon as a pet? Nevermind.

I don't know what is it yet, I just saw a shadow. I'm locking the Hub to be sure it won't get away.

Most people don't, because the people who do run into them usually... well, you know.

Right, yes, dealing with them! What's the lighting like down there? The more lights you've got up and the better lit everywhere is, the better, it makes them easier to spot. More to the point, does this lockdown stop a TARDIS from getting in?

Thanks. Well, I guess it's better to know that than not to.

Yeah, about the lighting down here. There's kind of something about a secret underground base that makes everything pretty shadowy and generally poorly lit. But no, the lockdown doesn't stop the TARDIS from getting in. We'd have to trip the Time Lock for that kind of level of security, and I haven't taught Hakuba how to do that yet. Why, Doctor? What do you suggest doing?
timey_wimey: (Yeeah that's just not right)

Knowing is half the battle, usually.

You humans and your underground bases, you don't half make things more difficult for yourselves! And well... Vashta Nerada, Jack. There's no way around it, when you're up against that, you just run. The one time I ran into them I was able to negotiate with them a bit, but that can only get you so far, and it's a little more difficult when they don't have any way of talking to me this time round. I dunno, I could try and get them off-planet, back to the Library with their own kind, but the thing about planet Earth... there's a lot of meat here.

Perhaps.

And hey! Usually an underground base is a lot safer and more secret than, let's say, a giant skyscraper. Not a wise decision on Torchwood One's place, in my opinion. And I don't know, isn't there some way that we could maybe get them here? Like, a flame thrower or something? If we could somehow attract them all to one place?

Oh yeah, it's all about extremes with you lot, isn't it? And what would you do with them once you've got them all into one place? Herd them into a pen?

Set them on fire? Burn them to a crisp? They're essentially spores, right? However evil and ancient they may be, they shouldn't be invincible.

((Hopefully this works, because it's what they end up doing. xD;; ))
