[Rl with Heiji- About teasing and Kendo]

He told him that he was going to arrive before of the kendo's match didn't him? A day before was maybe too much, but the way Heiji teased him on their last conversation was too much to resist. He parked his car near to Hattori's house and walked the rest of the way, holding a bag with his computer and a small blue box with a bow on it.

Hakuba stopped in front of the other detective's house and took out his phone, waiting patiently until Heiji took it.

"You didn't left the window open, Heiji-kun."

Heiji nodded, feeling a bit of pride settle back in his chest. If he was good at anything, it was kendo. "Ya can sit up front with Okan and Kazuha if ya like. I'll tell em t' look out for ya."

He didn't really want to spend the lunch break talking about Them, but that was the reason Hakuba came up here.

At least he thought it was, Heiji brooded. even Hakuba wouldn't make such a long trip just to embarrass him.

"Thanks. Who's Okan? Do you mean your mother?"

Hakuba asked, not not looking at him but pulling out his computer from the bag. He knew that Heiji and Kudo will needed to know about Doyle at some point, but the blond had a bit of a possessive streak, not that Hakuba would ever admit it, and was reluctant to show them their creation.

"I need to show you something." It was not said, but the the 'even if I really don't want to' was clear on the tone as well.

Heiji grinned sheepishly. "Yeah. 'Okaasan'. It's different in Osaka-ben, I forget sometimes."

Curiously, Heiji moved the chair to sit closer to Hakuba, craning his neck to try and see the computer screen better. "Show me what?" He asked.

Hakuba shrugged. "I call my mother 'Mother' and my father 'Dad' or 'Otosan'."

Hakuba's fingers moved quickly over the keyboard and when the screen changed he moved the computer to show it to Heiji. Something that looked like an clock was visible.

"That's Doyle."

The Osakan detective watched the screen, taking in the details of the clock.

"Doyle?" He asked, interested. Holmes fans. Couldn't they be more creative?

"Yes, Heiji Hattori?" The computer replied.

Hakuba smirked, time for Heiji to freak out.

Heiji had his first lesson that swivel chairs were NOT the best things to sit on.

His recoil tipped the chair off balance and the entire seat wheeled right out from under him, dumping him on his ass.

His expression was probably priceless. "I-..It...it's an AI?"

Hakuba winced at the crashing sound, but he smiled slightly too. He was expecting some kind of shocked reaction but that was a bit too much.

"He is, I created it." Hakuba left the computer on the bed and offered a hand to the boy on the floor. "People don't give you enough credit, you know? Probably because you look like a punk."

Hakuba couldn't just compliment Heiji without insulting him in the process, could him?

If he had no other reason to respect Hakuba, he had to at least admit that his intelligence was extraordinary. He accepted the other detective's assistance and shook his head in disbelief. "You created him?" He asked, then frowned at Hakuba, raising an eyebrow. Was that a roundabout compliment veiled behind an insult?

"I needed someone to play chess with." Hakuba grinned shameful. Doyle's origin was because he needed to protect the information about the Black ops, but the A.i. was good at chess as well, so it wasn't a complete lie.

Heiji had to laugh at that. Not because he was mocking the concept, but it was oddly enough the most normal thing he's heard in the past week or so. And so like Hakuba.

"I can get that." He agreed, knowing that there couldn't be many well adjusted people around for Hakuba to play with. "How is it, Doyle?" He thought to ask, "Playing chess with someone as stuffy as Hakuba?"

"Stuffy?.." The computer talked again, it was a male voice and it sounded a bit younger than the detectives. "..I can't tell, I never payed attention to Hakuba-kun bottom before."

Hakuba frowned at the screen. "He doesn't mean that! And I told you not to look at the urban dictionary."

"But there's some interesting things there Saguru-nichaan." Doyle complained.

Heiji sputtered, caught between laughing and trying to explain what he'd meant. Doyle must have been a child, mentally. either that or just socially clueless. "Dun worry bout it, Doyle."

Shaking his head, he had to admire it. Hakuba was, well, pretty damn intelligent. Heiji didn't know whether or not he could've done something like this. Probably not, but he'd never say it out loud.

Hakuba was blushing slightly, he still needed to work on Doyle's personality, maybe he was giving him to much free will. He coughed to maintain the composure and talked to the computer.

"Doyle show us the camera BS-221b."

The screen changed the next moment to show up a city, and made a zoom until an only house was visible, Mouri's house.

"Since you told me to look after him, and I already hacked the astronomical and the communications satellites before..."

Heiji ogled the computer, stunned and impressed. This was more than he could have ever done, for sure. even hacking into his father's system wouldn't have given him any access to anything like this.

Nor could he have helped even if he could have.

His shoulders drooped at the thought of how little he was doing, how little he even COULD do when compared to everyone else involved in this stupid situation.

"Th...there's nothin' I can do t' repay this." He murmured, even though he knew Hakuba wasn't doing this as a favor.

The other boy blinked at the sudden change of aptitude.

"It's nothing, really." He said softly. "It's will be enough if you don't tell anybody, hacking the satellites is not something a person of that side of the law should do." He coughed again, feeling more awkward now than when they kissed.

"Besides, you're not allowed to looks depressed if I'm not the one who caused it, got it?" Hakuba added in a mocking tone.

"Neither is hacking into private police case files." Heiji said without thinking.

Then he glared at the jibe; that tone alone doing more to tick him off than the words. "I'm not depressed, aho!"

At Heiji's reply, Hakuba raised an eyebrow and winced mentally. Kudo was going to be discovered in less than a year, the poor man.

"Of course not." He grinned. "And better if you aren't because I'm not goign to kiss you to make it better unless you ask nicely."

Heiji looked at him, noticing his look. "What?"

He smirked, shaking his head. "It's not like that weak kiss coulda healed anythin' anyway. I think I'm better off."

Hakuba decided that it was better not to reply and he acted like he didn't heard the first question.

"I doubt that you would be able to handle a real one, Heiji." He snapped.

Letting the first conversation go, he turned to face Hakuba, frowning, though a smirk danced in his eyes. "How would ya know, anyway? It's not like ye'd prove it." He taunted. He could SO handle a real kiss.

He just...hadn't ever had the opportunity.

That was a straight line if Hakuba had ever heard one.

Hakuba crossed his arms and looked at Hattori amused. But of course, he couldn't ask for a kiss the normal way, he need to use their banter.

"Do you really want that?

Heiji frowned at the look on his face. "What, ya to prove it? Well, I can't go thinkin' my rival is all talk, now can I? That would automatically make me better by default. No challenge."

Hakuba laughed cynical. Heiji couldn't just ask.

XDDD How fun.

It was awesome, and Hakuba is gouing to share something with Hattori, feel special XD
