Ey, this is Hakuba. Where are you two?

The weevil that was left in autopsy yesterday is just bones now. No flesh, no organs..I don't know how it happened it was a normal corpse 15 minutes ago. As normal as a dead alien's corpse can be anyway.

I think that something come through the Rift, the computers gone crazy and Myfanwy is in hysterics. Remember me who had the great idea of keep a Pteranodon as a pet? Nevermind.

I don't know what is it yet, I just saw a shadow. I'm locking the Hub to be sure it won't get away.

What? What is it, Doctor? Do you know what's going on here?

((Let's say that Jack either can't read the other comment thread, or hasn't noticed it. He wants to hear himself directly what's going on. 8P;;))
timey_wimey: (Oh that's disgusting)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2010-03-20 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I do. It's Vashta Nerada, Jack. Microscopic piranhas of the air that travel in swarms.

Shit. Really? I didn't think those things actually existed.

...Hakuba's tripped the lockdown. That means nothing's getting out of here, including us. ...If you've got any great ideas on how to deal with these things, now's a really good time to be sharing them.
timey_wimey: (Listen to Doktah - he speaks wisdom.)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2010-03-24 09:39 am (UTC)(link)
Most people don't, because the people who do run into them usually... well, you know.

Right, yes, dealing with them! What's the lighting like down there? The more lights you've got up and the better lit everywhere is, the better, it makes them easier to spot. More to the point, does this lockdown stop a TARDIS from getting in?
51stcentury: (eyebrow raise)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-03-24 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks. Well, I guess it's better to know that than not to.

Yeah, about the lighting down here. There's kind of something about a secret underground base that makes everything pretty shadowy and generally poorly lit. But no, the lockdown doesn't stop the TARDIS from getting in. We'd have to trip the Time Lock for that kind of level of security, and I haven't taught Hakuba how to do that yet. Why, Doctor? What do you suggest doing?
timey_wimey: (Yeeah that's just not right)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2010-03-24 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
Knowing is half the battle, usually.

You humans and your underground bases, you don't half make things more difficult for yourselves! And well... Vashta Nerada, Jack. There's no way around it, when you're up against that, you just run. The one time I ran into them I was able to negotiate with them a bit, but that can only get you so far, and it's a little more difficult when they don't have any way of talking to me this time round. I dunno, I could try and get them off-planet, back to the Library with their own kind, but the thing about planet Earth... there's a lot of meat here.

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-03-24 10:40 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps.

And hey! Usually an underground base is a lot safer and more secret than, let's say, a giant skyscraper. Not a wise decision on Torchwood One's place, in my opinion. And I don't know, isn't there some way that we could maybe get them here? Like, a flame thrower or something? If we could somehow attract them all to one place?
timey_wimey: (give me a break)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2010-03-28 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, it's all about extremes with you lot, isn't it? And what would you do with them once you've got them all into one place? Herd them into a pen?
51stcentury: (srs business face)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-03-29 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Set them on fire? Burn them to a crisp? They're essentially spores, right? However evil and ancient they may be, they shouldn't be invincible.

((Hopefully this works, because it's what they end up doing. xD;; ))

Down in the lower level archives. Ianto'd found an artifact that needed further explanation before he could categorize it. And for once, I'm really not making that up, either.

[A short pause, but a pause.]

I trust you, Jack.

I'm in the upper level with a very angry dinosaur and you know how much I love reptiles.

[ooc: for the record, reptiles are to Hakuba what fishes are to Kaito. He freaks out. :|]

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-03-20 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, Hakuba, would I lie about something like that? Ianto would, but me?

Yeah, yeah, I know. Look, we'll try making our way up there in a second, but first, get yourself somewhere bright, like... Turn on all the lights you can find in the work area and stay put. I don't need to worry about you on top of trying to get Ianto and I both out of this mess, got it?

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-03-21 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
True, you wouldn't, more like the opposite.

I turned on all the lights already, I'm getting blinds but it makes easy to spot the shadows. The problem is that Myfanwy is flying around and her shadow moves.
51stcentury: (arms crossed)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-03-21 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Damn it, I forgot about Myfanwy...

Alright, go into the mainframe system control. The password is Rhea Silva. There's going to be an option there to open the exit from Myfanwy's cage. She's got cloaking and tracking devices, so she shouldn't be too much trouble letting her out. I'd just rather see her safe than have her end up food to these bastards.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-03-21 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[You can hear him moving as he does what it's said, the cage opening and Myfawny flying away in a rush.] Done, we will find her later. I hope she doesn't cause much trouble.
51stcentury: (straight face)

[personal profile] 51stcentury 2010-03-22 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Ianto's got her trained pretty well, don't worry. At the most, she'll just be a terror to the local sheep, that's all.

We'll be up there ASAP, Hakuba. Stick to the light and whatever you do, keep an eye on your shadow, alright?

((You want to do an action spam now for this? I figure Ianto and Jack can show up, talk a little, Jack starts to be eaten, the two freak out, then either Hakuba or Ianto attacks the buggers with a flame-thrower, and they're saved? 8D))

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2010-03-22 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Oh right, that's all..[Excuse him, he is still thinking around the lines 'it's a frigging dinosaur']

I will, be careful you two.

((yesssss~ that sounds good :D))
