It was a fact of life for Hakuba that Heiji never know how to have his mouth shut when he should.

"You don't?" He bend down again, this time both of his hands were resting on every side of Hattori's chair.

Heiji was too stubborn and annoyed now to even realize that he probably should have taken the out while he could.

"I'm not a girl. Why would I scream?"

"Girls doesn't scream when you kiss them, you don't know that? But you will probably once is done."

Wot? The only thing that showed Heiji was affected by that comment was the slight raise of his eyebrow.

"Ya couldn't make me scream if yer life depended on it."

He couldn't help but smile, just a little, at the idea that come to his mind. He wondered if that was how Tyki feels when he plays. Leaning closer to Heiji, he purred.

"Then close your eyes and think of Kudo."

Hakuba was close enough now that Heiji could feel his breath.

"I-I ain't gonna think of Kudo!" He argued automatically, even though he closed his eyes.

"Toyamaza-zan then? Or do you're really going to think about me?" His voice was still in that low, flirtatious tone.

It started with another of their games that when out of control, Hakuba mused. But since both don't really like each other on the least, and he already had a girlfriend that he loved, this doesn't mean anything at all. Hakuba was telling that to himself when he leaned closer again, as if to meet a challenge, and kissed Heiji gently, teasingly.

Heiji's eyes shot open and he tried protesting again, "I ain't-" but the kiss stopped him short.

He'd never kissed before, not counting the usual child's innocence or family kisses, so he didn't really have anything to compare it to. He sat tense, mentally flailing out for something to do.

However he was quite certain that this wasn't what he'd have expected from the other teen if he had thought about it. Demanding and controlling? Yeah. Gentle? Hell no.

Okay so maybe if he had no opinion of Hakuba at all it might have crossed his mind. Once or twice. The other detective did look like the type to keep lots of fluffy animals. All those light colors on him. But knowing his personality he'd have expected a kiss from him to be a bit more...painful to sit through? Or exciting at least...

...not that he'd thought about it. At all.

All this ran through his mind in those few seconds as he wondered what the hell he should even do. A guy he didn't like at all was kissing him because of what basically amounted to a dare. Was there an owner's manual or a help guide for situations like this?

Eyes closed as well, Hakuba pondered about Heiji's reaction. He was rigid like a table, even if he tried to be careful with him to not scare the other boy with the kind of kisses he and Akako share, but at the same time Heiji wasn't pushing him away.

"So?" He asked softly when they broke apart, smiling slightly as he waited for his response,face still close to him.

His mind was still going over thousands of thoughts at once, so indecisive and fast that his face couldn't even begin to register. He would have looked slightly dazed if it weren't for the hesitant indecision still apparent in his body.

He blinked twice to try and regain his composure and said the first thought he could grab. Which, embarrassingly enough, was one of the more stubborn thoughts. "That was it?" He asked, voice too low for his normal attitude to show through.

His mind didn't slow down at all though and he was still wondering what a guy could do in a situation like this that didn't get him humiliated or killed.

Hakuba eyes narrowed again, but he looked more predatory than flirtatious this time.

"That is one of the ways to do it, yes." The sarcasm in his voice was subtle, but unmistakable. "What? Do you think you can do it better?"

A deep blush spread across his face at the look and he took a breath. "Yes!" He insisted, his voice pitching the tiniest bit too high. "I'm sure anyone could do it better!" Not...that he knew how...

...and he was coming to a horrifying realization that he was probably going to end up learning the hard way...

Hakuba just snorted at him, still not moving or giving Heiji more space. "Like you would know, Heiji."

Heiji was still tense but now it was more of a challenged posture than a nervous one. "Ya don't know that!" It's not like he could prove it though, and that irritated him beyond belief.

There was something about making Heiji angry that was addictive. No wonder Kid-san liked to annoy the detectives that much.

"Prove me wrong."

Heiji growled, knowing he was cornered, and brought one hand up to grip Hakuba's shirt. Hopefully being a quick learner included this too.

"Yer an ass and I should've pushed ya out my window when I had th' chance." He hissed, voice low.

Heiji's movement not caught him exactly by surprise, he already was expecting the boy to be a bit more angry than that. He just raised an eyebrow at the comment.

Heiji knew he was beat. Trapped in the proverbial corner, which was really a chair, he would have taken that challenge in a heartbeat, but he knew he'd probably only make a bigger fool of himself. The thought was clear in his eyes that his ignorance screwed him over again and it infuriated him.

He let him go and looked away, silently acknowledging that the other detective won.

Hakuba liked to play, much, but contrary to Kuroba's belief he wasn't cruel. He went away from Heiji and left the computer bag that he was still holding on the bed.

"What time is the Kendo's match?"

Heiji wiped a hand over his face and turned his chair to face him.

"I have to be there for warming up and strategy planning stuff at eight. They start letting people in th' door at nine. First match is at ten, if yer interested in seeing th' whole match. Unless someone ditches I won't go out onto the floor until nearly eleven."

Hakuba sat on the bed and listened to him carefully.

"I want to see the whole match, I would be there at nine and half. Once the match ends, I don't mind to wait until you're ready, we need to find a moment to talk about the organization. We can go to lunch, you will be starving after the match. "

Heiji nodded, feeling a bit of pride settle back in his chest. If he was good at anything, it was kendo. "Ya can sit up front with Okan and Kazuha if ya like. I'll tell em t' look out for ya."

He didn't really want to spend the lunch break talking about Them, but that was the reason Hakuba came up here.

At least he thought it was, Heiji brooded. even Hakuba wouldn't make such a long trip just to embarrass him.

"Thanks. Who's Okan? Do you mean your mother?"

Hakuba asked, not not looking at him but pulling out his computer from the bag. He knew that Heiji and Kudo will needed to know about Doyle at some point, but the blond had a bit of a possessive streak, not that Hakuba would ever admit it, and was reluctant to show them their creation.

"I need to show you something." It was not said, but the the 'even if I really don't want to' was clear on the tone as well.

Heiji grinned sheepishly. "Yeah. 'Okaasan'. It's different in Osaka-ben, I forget sometimes."

Curiously, Heiji moved the chair to sit closer to Hakuba, craning his neck to try and see the computer screen better. "Show me what?" He asked.

Hakuba shrugged. "I call my mother 'Mother' and my father 'Dad' or 'Otosan'."

Hakuba's fingers moved quickly over the keyboard and when the screen changed he moved the computer to show it to Heiji. Something that looked like an clock was visible.

"That's Doyle."

Heiji is not ready for that ^^ it might broke his brain..but that comment pinged hakuba interest >_>
