Hakuba made sure the door was locked behind them, before showing Zechs the way to an isolated mainframe in the Hakuba Laboratory.

"He's about two and three-quarters built now," Hakuba told Zechs, and he escorted the man to the computer station he had been working in (specially) the past few nights. He unlocked the door to show him a big room, which was perfectly illuminated.

One wall had a collection of different designs for the robot and the pieces, organized by function and positioned inside the robot (heart, arms, chest...) There were three tables. One was totally clean except for Hakuba's laptop on it. The second one had a lot of metallic pieces on it, such as different kind of motors, microchips and tools. The last one was a mobile table and it had the half built robot itself.
( occ:A small fic/drabble to explain Hakuba’s situation and psychology at the moment, and to help with the future events on the Pandora’s plot :3 comments are welcome~)

There was a resounding sound and a cold sensation that interrupted his thoughts. Hakuba turned back to face the now open window of his room. He paused, resting the cup of tea he'd been drinking on the table, and stood up. As he reached the window the aforementioned breeze brushed past his face and mussed the hair in front of it. For a moment he was expecting a white shadow to come into sight, but he knew better. For one, Kid-san was never that loud, and he already knew that the thief was not available at the moment.

They would need to talk eventually. Eventually...

He made a thoughtful noise, made sure the window was locked, and went back to the computer station he had been working at before the interruption.
Since he had started hanging out with an internationally-wanted criminal and suffered all the strange consequences that came with it, strange things had become commonplace.  )
It has not been a good night. The heist was its usual invigorating self, full of twists and turns, it was merely the get away where things got tricky. I'm becoming increasingly less enamored with guns as of late. Especially ones aimed at the Kaitou Kid and me, for whats matters.

When my father is yelling at me and my mother is the one worried, then I know that we screwed up badly.

When Nakamori-keibu ask me if I'm alright instead of yelling at me, I know that the end of the world was near.

After we disappeared
.. After Kid ran away, the Task Force from Washington and the rest of Nakamori's officers had been exceedingly helpful in attempting to track down the perpetrators, for all the good it did. But they still waiting for Kid to return the jewel, and I know that it's not goign to be returned any time soon.

Rufus If you're conscious, I want to talk with you.

I feel like curling up into a ball next to Akako and sleep the rest of my life. I can’t believe what I did. I think I lost the rest of my sanity on that heist.  And because of the rush of the moment I can't really remember the world where the Hope diamond got lost before we ended on Ekoda. Damn. And I'm sure that Snake knows about the existence of the multiverse now too. Oh joy.

A heist notice arrived in a white small box on Nakamori-keibu's desk. Kid has decided to steal the Hope Diamond, which is being held at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. How unusual for him to do that, it isn't the first time he organized a performance in other country, but still.  And how sad that Nakamori-keibu and the Task Forces are not allowed to work on that particularly case. It really breaks my heart.

Hope Diamond...I wonder if it is what he been looking for. I wonder if this is the end. Tsk.

I have a plane to catch, and a thief to arrest.

Dear Anonymous

If you think that I don’t notice when you’re trying (and failing) to mess with Doyle, you’re really, really, mistaken.

Have a nice day,

S.H.
Who would guessed that hacking the astronomical and the communications satellites would be so useful?

Heh.
Hakuba sighed, it was been a really long night. The teen settled into the chair behind his desk and opened up the laptop that set there. So many things went the wrong way... Snake was still on the run, if the red point moving on the screen was right, but he was far too worried to be concerned with that.

The detective slammed his fist on his desk and then moved his bangs out of his face, his mind was racing. How had he not seen it? How had he not noticed about Aoko? Why hadn't anyone noticed? He didn't know, he couldn't ask, and she wouldn't admit it either.

Saguru took a few breaths, straightened up and went to the kitchen to make a pot of heated green tea. Akako was going to be here soon.
[A door slamming, footsteps, and after a silence the sound of crystal breaking. A screech of a bird.]

Oh, Damn it!…sorry Watson, I didn’t mean to scare you..ouch…itches..perfect, now I’m bleeding. Oh joy.

I’m a total failure aren’t I? It’s not just that I can’t catch him, now people that I care about are getting hurt in the process.

[The screen of computer lights on, a red spot is moving over a map.]

What….?

[A cynical laugh]

Maybe not everything is lost, after all. Oh..ouch…I’m bleeding all over the carpet.

I practiced some shooting today as training.

I know about guns, I know about bullets, and I can’t categorize them or use them… but I still don’t like them very much.

But it's better to be safe than sorry.

There are a lot of persons interested on the myth of the philosopher’s stone. If that’s really what Pandora is all about, we have a problem.

I swear, if I ever put my hands on Pandora, I’m going to destroy it.

I wonder if I can convince miss Yuki to share her information about the stone with me…

Like it wasn't enough having people asking me if the Phantom thief and I were in a relationship, he had to leave me a heist note and then steal my shirt. While I was wearing it.

That helped a lot, Kid. At least the Black Ops didn't show up on this heist.

I liked that shirt.... now I have to give it to Mr. ShinRa.

 Thanks.

Sometimes I wonder why I do the things I do.

Then I remember who I am.

I feel like talking a bit about Literature, Myths and nasty reptiles.

Anyone interested?

(edit: Literature= the research he's doing, Myths= Pandora, Reptiles: Snake, the man who tries to kill KID)
