clockmaster: (Child)

[Being a kid is nto fun RL-Tyki, Zechs, Rufus...and maybe someone else XD]

Hakuba blinked, looking down at his small hands as they traveled trough the Ark. Perhaps he was hallucinating. He had been pulling several late nights recently and mayhap it was affecting him more than he realized. But no, he was in fact, a six years old kid, wearing now vintage children's clothes from the 19th century thanks to Tyki. he sighed miserably, glad that the other man was there to help him.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Thanks." Hakuba said looking up at him. Tyki was always taller than him but now he looked a way more bigger. They waited for a moment until the small detective talked again. "Do you think he's ok? it's taking him too much to open the door..." Then it hit him. "Tyki...if I can't reach the bell, he probably can't reach the doorknob."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki blinked, then dropped his face into his palm. "You're right," he said, feeling a little silly. "Of course. And here I was trying to actually be polite for once and not barge in on him."

He reached out and twisted the knob, letting them into the apartment. "Rufus!" he called. "We're back!"

[identity profile] shinra-pwnsjoo.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
Rufus heard them from behind the door and immediately checked the TV screen. There was no one behind them, and it was them after all. Rufus hopped off the couch and climbed onto a small stool to reach the doorknob, a small letter opener in his hand just in case.

"Coming!"

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Once the door was opened, Hakuba watched inside to face a small child Rufus and suppressed a laugh. At least it was a relieve to look at someone's eyes again. Being that short was a pain. He looked at the letter opener on Rufus's hands and raised an eyebrow.

"Really threatening, Rufus. You're going to stab people's knees?" he said as salutation. Watson chirped in his hands.

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki did laugh. He couldn't help it, after what Hakuba had just said.

"Did you think we were robbers coming to kidnap you, and politely knocking?" he asked, stepping into the room and ruffling Rufus' hair as he walked past.

You can bet that if Rufus chose to retaliate by stabbing him in the knees, it would pass right through him.

[identity profile] shinra-pwnsjoo.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Rufus looked up at Tyki and tilted his head. "I hope that when you regress that you have horrible acne."

A little petty, but Rufus was not feeling up to par to talking to someone older than him. And one that he couldn't punch in the knees to add to that. Instead Rufus pulled Hakuba and Tyki in the room with all his weight and closed the door.

"Don't insult that method. Once, when I was around this age I was abducted and the only way I survived was that I had stabbed the man in the knees all the way to the hilt."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba made a face. "You get abducted a lot Rufus. It can be good for your health....or other people health as you let us know."

Watson flew from Hakuba's hands to his shoulder, she was acting a bit more respectful and cautious now that other people was around. Hakuba couldn't help himself, he come closer to Rufus and pinched his cheeks.

"Cute."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki snickered at Rufus. "I doubt it. I never really had that problem. Besides, I haven't regressed yet." His gold eyes sparkled. "You probably don't want to see me as a six year old. I was a hellion."

He sat down in a chair and lit up a cigarette. "So I think this calls for a game," he said. "What do children play in your time?"

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba's eyebrow twitched. A game? Even as a child he didn't played with other kids, he was not much of a social boy. He found the other kids boring, or they call him a freak because he liked to read instead of play hide and seek.

"I played chess with my father." He said, finally.

[identity profile] shinra-pwnsjoo.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Rufus' face instantly scrunched up - he used to hate this. It was something that plagued him as being the first (known of) son of ShinRa. Though, when he finally managed to break free from Hakuba's grip he blinked at Tyki.

"... games? I never played anything when I was growing up."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki stared at them, then burst out laughing. "No wonder you two are old beyond your time," he said, shaking his head. "And no wonder you're an unsocialized little prick, Rufus. All right, hmm."

He considered for a moment. What game would work with two kids who thought like adults, and one big person who pretty much thought like a kid?

[identity profile] shinra-pwnsjoo.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"And yet, I'm a military genius and a business mastermind. It's a suitable substitution." Rufus retorted rather snappishly. He hadn't learned to keep his temper at this age, and it was going to prove most unwise.

"... Hold on, Dark and I usually have a board game night when I have no work."

He made sure to glare at Hakuba for an emphasis as he padded off up the stairs to get the games.

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I never said you weren't those things, too," Tyki said agreeably as Rufus padded up the stairs.

He glanced at Hakuba, and winked as if to say 'I love getting him riled up like that'

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba laughed softly, amused by their antics.

"I'm not totally sure if I want to know what kind of games play Dark and Rufus when they're not working." He commented as he looked around the room. "It if involves bondage, I think I will let you two play alone and I will just watch. " Hakuba turned back to face Tyki again and smiled cat-like at him, all fangs and smugness.

[identity profile] shinra-pwnsjoo.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Rufus heard what Hakuba said as he came down the stairs with GAIA MONOPOLY.

"We don't play games," Rufus retorted on his way to the other two, "However, speaking of Dark ... "

He hadn't seen the other man for a while, and ... Rufus set down the box and went upstairs to go get the other pieces to it.

[ooc; i have to head out for a while. <3 Dont wait on my account]

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"If it involves bondage, I still don't want to know until after this virus is over," Tyki retorted, watching Rufus come down the stairs.

"Why does everyone seem to think I'm interested in children that way?" he muttered mostly to himself. "There are other ways of having fun."

His eyebrows quirked as Rufus mentioned Dark and then trotted back up the stairs again. He moved down to the floor and sat cross-legged next to the box, opening it up. He'd never seen a game like this before and looked at all of the pieces and paper money with interest. "So how do we play?"

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"I didn't mean to offend you, Tyki. Other ways, uh?"

Hakuba took the game's box and studied it. A Gaia monopoly....figures. Well, at least there was a similar game on her own earth.

"In Monopoly players compete to acquire wealth through stylized economic activity involving the buying, renting, and trading of properties using play money, as we take turns moving across the board according to the roll of the dice." Hakuba informed him. "The object of the game is to own every piece of property. The game is named after the economic concept of monopoly, the domination of a market by a single entity." The blonde kid snorted. "no wonder Rufus likes it."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki waved off Hakuba's apology, smiling at him. "Sure, other ways. Like games." He waved at the board.

He listened with attention to the words, his eyebrows rising. "Yeah, I'm not surprised that this is Rufus' board game," he said, laughing. "It sounds incredibly dull, but I guess if it's a well-known game it must have appeal to people other than business moguls."

He rooted through the box and pulled out a couple of token, finally settling on the chocobo and placing it at the start square.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-23 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba looked at the tokens."It's a bit different from the one on my earth but..Monopoly could go on for hours. A game was supposed to have a definite end somewhere. In Monopoly you kept going around and around. It's about strategy. After 40 minutes it can be a bit boring."

Frankly, to be Rufus apartment playing monopoly with a Noah when his body was now the one of a 6 years old kid was something that Hakuba never imagined. "

"We can play another thing. Did you ever had a Quid pro Quo game?"

Tyki chuckled. He was feeling the weirdness, too, but his own life was plenty weird enough that it didn't really bother him.

He shook his head at Hakbua, his eyebrows rising with curiosity. "Tell me about it?" he asked. "I haven't heard of that game."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 12:37 am (UTC)(link)

Hakuba's eyes glinted with amusement. "Quid pro quo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quid_pro_quo) means in latin something for something, and to play you just have to ask a question to a person, and then the person ask you a question in return." Hakuba moved his left hand up, Watson jumped over it and he started to caress her with his free hand.

"It's a really easy game, but it can turn to be a bit dangerous, it depends about the questions."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki chuckled. "I'm not surprised that is your favourite game, my friend," he said. "And it sounds like fun, though the real trick will be getting Rufus to join in."

His eyes glittered. "But there's a variant that I prefer, if you're willing. It's similar, but it's called 'Truth or Dare'. Are you familiar with it?"

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Guilty as charged" the blonde child cheered. "I managed to trick Rufus to play with me a few times, but he cheat on his responses or avoid the subject. Not so fun." Hakuba nearly sulked, but he remember to himself that detectives didn't sulk, so he was not doing it. No, not at all.

"Yes, I'm familiar with 'Truth or Dare'. That can be even more dangerous, but I like challenges so if you want to play that, it's fine with me. An we totally need to trick Rufus into that one."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki laughed. "Shameful when people cheat," he said, his eyes dancing. "Somehow I'm not surprised that Rufus refuses to abide by the rules, when it comes to answering questions. At least with Truth or Dare, you can chose the 'Dare' option every time, just to avoid answering questions."

He grinned. "In that case, Hakuba, Truth or Dare?"

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-11-24 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
"but knowing Rufus the 'Dare' things can be somethign really crazy."

Easy question.

"Truth"
