[Open rl - FEEL FREE TO VISIT] backdated to the 27

His father was talking about something or other. He would usually be paying attention, yet there were times when he did get lost in his thoughts, today was one of those days. He was lost in his thoughts looking to Aoko on the other side of the room sleeping in the bed, even if he was as tired as her, Hakuba was fully awake and couldn't sleep at all.

Kenji stopped talking realizing that he wasn’t paying attention. The silence however brought Hakuba back to reality and he was ready to apologize, but his father smiled and stood up. Kenji kissed his bandaged forehead carefully and murmured something about the case. The guards on the door of their room saluted his father as he went out to attend the paperwork as fast as possible.

Hakuba looked at the ceiling, careful not to move his broken arm much, and sighed.

Tyki didn't bother with security or hospitals. He located Hakuba by charming a nurse into telling him which room he was in, then he simply went outside, floated up to the correct floor, and walked in through the wall.

"Saguru," he said with a faint smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, his gold eyes travelling over Hakuba's bandages with a mixture of concern and a cold, terrifying rage. "Well, well, I hope you gave them as badly as you got."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Hakuba was startled for a moment when Tyki appeared through the wall. He wasn't used to that, or expecting it at all.

"I only wish, Tyki." He was happy to see him again and he greeted him with a warm smile. "That's a wall fault. It fell over Aoko and I tried my best to shield her. At least my hard head broke part of it."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki sighed and moved towards him, drawing up a chair and sitting down. "Well, I hope Aoko looks a bit better than you do," he said, smirking fainly. "Given the manly and heroic sacrifice you made."

"So, who should I kill?" he asked airily.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba laugh humorless at the comment, heroic was not exactly how he felt. He rubbed his bandaged forehead with a hand before to reply.

"Don't ask me that again, please Tyki. I might be answering you the next time." Not like the world wouldn't be a better place but that wasn't the correct way to do things. He felt ashamed just for giving the idea a thought. "What I missed this week? Heiji commented me something about Oregon."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki shrugged faintly. "What makes you think I was joking?" he asked, letting the offer hang in the air. It was open, they both knew it, and that was all that was really necessary.

Besides, Tyki didn't really need Saguru's permission.

He sighed. "Oh yes, Oregon. Be thankful you missed that. Stuck on a wagon with a bickering Kaito and Conan, not to mention Dark and Rufus in a dress, and about eight other people, is not my idea of a good time."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"I know that you wasn't." Hakuba nodded, avoiding his eyes. He was grateful for the change of subject.

"Sounds like hell if I ever heard of one." He commented, resting her back on the pillows. "I'm not that much surprised of Rufus, but Dark in a dress? Told me that you had the video camera with you."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki sensed that he didn't want to talk about it, and dropped that subject, for now.

"It was hell," he said, pulling a cigarette from his pocket and sticking it between his lips, then searching for his lighter. "Rufus and Zechs were both in dresses, actually, not Dark." He thought about this, and laughed. "Wish it had been Dark, now that I think about it."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"Zechs?" Hakuba laughed, not caring if the movement made his ribs hurt. "Zechs was wearing a dress? What color? And how convenient that he forgot to tell me about it when he visited me."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Chuckling, Tyki grinned at Hakuba. "I doubt that he'd willingly tell anyone. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. It was a very pretty periwinkle colour."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba bit his lower lip, just the mental image of Zechs in a periwinkle color dress was enough to make him burst into laugher again. The boy felt the humidity on the corner of his eyes. He was sure that it wasn't only because of the mental image.

"I really missed you two."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki reached out and put a hand on Hakuba's good one, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We missed you," he assured the boy. Then he frowned. "Damn, I should have brought a couple of potions for you, get you out of here faster."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Hakuba smiled at the contact and then looked surprised at Tyki's suggestion. "No, no, it's not necessary. Akako already offered to health me fast but I don't want to. It's just my arm, I will be fine, it's.." He wasn't sure how to explain that to Tyki, Akako already thought that he was being a fool. "..I need to remember that Happened."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki sat back, blinking. "What do you mean? Surely you aren't going to forget what happened in a hurry," he said, his own fingers going to his chest before he realized what he was doing and lowered them quickly. "Why suffer needlessly, Saguru?"

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
"No, I'm not going to forget that easily but..." He almost seemed to be trying to convince himself. "The other times I got hurt, Akako, Rufus or someone helped me, and It was like what caused me pain never happened. It's like I didn't learned anything. I need to be more careful and more cautious, that help me to remember why." he moved her unharmed hand to touch his bandaged arm. "I know it's stupid."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki considered Hakuba for a few moments. "Yes, it is rather stupid," he said wryly, though not without sympathy. "I don't think forcing yourself to mend bones slowly is going to remind you to be careful and cautious in the future. You're simply not that kind of person."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
“I have the right to act stupid sometimes too, maybe I spend too mcuh time with Kuroba.” He said with a ghost of his old smile. But it was gone in an eye blink, and in its place was a tired, worn expression. "Hattori got shot tree times while protecting us."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki grinned. "Of course you have the right to act stupid," he said. "We all do it from time to time."

But then he immediately sobered. He had only met Hattori recently, through the Oregon Trail virus, but through that he had come to know him rather well, considering.

"Is he going to be all right?" he asked gravely.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"He's safe now, he was lucky that any of the bullet hit the organs or his spine." Suddenly, he felt very guilty. "I asked Akako to help him with her magic."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki nodded, smiling faintly. "I'm pleased to hear that he'll be all right," he said honestly. "I haven't spoken to him much, I didn't know he was your friend, in fact."

He reached out and smoothed a bit of blond hair back from Hakuba's forehead. "I wish you'd tell me who hurt you," he said quietly. "Kaito Kid wound Zechs up something fierce while you were gone. Zechs was determined to find out so we could go get you, and he wouldn't help at all."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Hakuba returned the smile temptatively. "I will not say friend, but we tolerate each other more than we did before."

The blond boy sighed happily at his touch. "Kid didn't wanted anyone else getting hurt, he was restricting Doyle's movement as well." His face tuned a soft tone or red. "I glad that I have such good friend as you all, Tyki."

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki nodded. "Yes, he said as much, though Zechs and I were rather offended that he thought we needed him to decide whether or not we could handle the situation. Without information, we cannot judge for ourselves, like adults," he said, with a touch of severity.

He ruffled Hakuba's hair, smiling faintly. "You've earned our regard."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"I understand your frustration, and Doyle already gave me a talk about not letting people know. I share his opinion, I know that you and Zechs are more than capable to take care of the situation, but I also understand Kid's point of view."

Flustered and embarrassed, Hakuba gave him another smile.

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-03 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyki sighed. "I understand Kid's point of view to a degree," he conceded. "But the fact is, here you sit, beaten up and half broken. You could have been killed. There's no law enforcement committee at this point, and even if there were, it likely wouldn't intervene in a matter like this."

He fixed Hakuba with a cold stare. "But I am not a normal person, like you. And my 'family' would not be endangered. I'm not afraid of these people, and I do not feel it makes sense for me to stand by the next time they attack you."

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Hakuba He looked down, he didn't know what to say. If she was sure of something it was about the veracity on Tyki's words. He took in consideration Tyki's offer and then wondered how much of a bad person that made him. the persons in that side of the law weren't supposed to think that way, but the black ops were like a disease, spreading pain and infecting everything around them.

[identity profile] tyki-tock.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Tyki watched Hakuba quietly, then glanced away, a faint, self-deprecating curl to his lips. He remembered the day he had gotten to know this boy in Gaia, how he had challenged his goodness, and found that vein of darkness within him.

Well, now he had found the line that Hakuba wouldn't cross.

He rose to his feet and leaned over Hakuba, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "I won't forgive anyone who hurts you," he murmured. "I can't. I'm sorry."

And he turned to go.
